The Athletic Department at our high school is going to be a very exciting place in the next few months. After some very successful community fundraising, corporate contributions, youth league donations, private donations and a generous commitment from our booster club an artificial turf field is going to be a reality at our stadium this upcoming fall sports season. Ground breaking will begin immediately after our last home track meet this spring. We will continue to fundraise as we work towards receiving enough funds to also upgrade the bleachers, restrooms, ticketbooths and concession stand. The turf field is a great start, especially in this soggy Oregon weather. We will actually be able to host multiple games same day or weekends without destroying the field! What's that like?? The ability to put on quality soccer or lacrosse tournaments, youth football events, marching band competitions will bring lots of business to our quiet little bedroom community. The schools website will have updates I'm sure ...so check it out. . .
